Accessories Jacks & Nuts
A base jack is where the whole scaffold load reaches the ground, and it is the component that lets an erector take a structure built to fixed geometry and land it on ground that is not level. KEAA International manufactures 11 items in this range in Ludhiana, India, from steel specified as S235 JR, S275 JR and S355 JR to EN 10025 and EN 10219, hot dip galvanized to DIN EN 1461 in our own plants. The range covers adjustable base jacks plain and with locking strip or locking wing nut, swivel base jacks in light and heavy duty for sloping ground, base jacks with welded tube, the jack nuts themselves in cast and forged versions, and wall ties. Finishes available include paint and electroplating as well as hot dip galvanizing.
What the range includes
Adjustable base jacks, adjustable base jacks with locking strip, and adjustable base jacks with locking wing nut. Swivel base jacks in light duty and heavy duty for sloping ground. Base jacks with welded tube. Jack nuts in cast and forged versions. Wall ties for tying the assembly back to structure.
Standards and finish
Steel specified as S235 JR, S275 JR and S355 JR to EN 10025 and EN 10219, recorded against the products. Finishes are hot dip galvanizing to DIN EN 1461, and paint or electroplating where specified. Galvanizing is applied in our own plants, and welding is carried out by welders certified to EN 1090-2 and EN 3834-2, accredited by SLV Germany.
Where it is used
The base of every system scaffold and shoring tower, and the head of props and towers where an adjustable connection is needed. Swivel jacks are specified wherever the ground slopes. Buyers are scaffolding contractors, formwork specialists, rental fleets and distributors.
Why buy it from the manufacturer
The jack nut and the thread it runs on decide whether a jack adjusts smoothly under load or seizes, and cast and forged nuts behave differently. Making both in house, alongside the jacks themselves, is what lets us match them. Management systems are certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 by TÜV Rheinland.

When the ground slopes. A swivel jack lets the base plate sit flat on the slope while the threaded section stays vertical, which keeps the load axial. Light and heavy duty versions are both made.
Forging produces a denser grain structure and is generally specified for the more demanding duty. Both are manufactured here, so the choice can follow your specification rather than what happens to be available.
The product data records S235 JR, S275 JR and S355 JR to EN 10025 and EN 10219. Specify the grade with your enquiry and we will quote against it.
