Calf housing has a different problem from the main cattle shed. The animals are small, they are in the most vulnerable weeks of their lives, and the hardware around them has to be cleanable between batches without corroding. KEAA International manufactures calf houses, calf pens and pail rings in Ludhiana, India, hot dip galvanized so the same unit survives repeated washing down and redeployment. The range is deliberately small and built to work with the wider cattle housing range rather than as a separate system: the same clamps and fixings carry across, so a rearing area and the shed it sits inside can be specified together and share spare parts. Every item is manufactured in our own plants, with fabrication, welding and galvanizing in house.
What the range includes
Calf houses, calf pens and pail rings. Calf feed troughs and calf panels are catalogued under the cattle range and are normally specified alongside these, because a rearing area usually needs both.
Standards and finish
Hot dip galvanized, the finish recorded against each item in the catalogue. Galvanizing is applied in our own plants, which keeps coating thickness consistent across an order rather than varying between subcontracted batches.
Where it is used
Calf rearing units on dairy and beef farms, and the rearing areas inside larger cattle buildings. Buyers are livestock housing installers, agricultural building contractors and farm equipment distributors.
