A post cap is the cheapest part of a fence and the one that decides how long the post lasts. End grain on the top of a timber post absorbs water like a wick, so an uncapped post rots from the top down regardless of what is protecting the bottom. KEAA International manufactures three patterns: ball and pyramid caps, which shed water and finish a fence visually, and a cap with a stainless steel nail for fixing where corrosion at the fastening would otherwise stain the timber. All are made in our own plants in Ludhiana, India, to the same tolerances as the wider post support and fencing hardware ranges, so caps ordered with a fencing package fit the posts in it.
What the range includes
Post caps in ball and pyramid profiles, and post caps supplied with a stainless steel nail for fixing. The range is deliberately small and is normally ordered alongside the post supports and pole anchors ranges as part of a complete fencing package.
Standards and finish
The caps are hot dip galvanized to DIN EN 1461. The nail supplied with the fixed pattern is stainless steel, chosen so the fastening does not corrode and stain the timber below it.
Where it is used
Fence posts, gate posts, decking balustrade posts and pergola uprights. Buyers are fencing contractors, builders merchants, landscapers and DIY retail.

Because the cut top of a post is end grain, which draws water down into the timber. Capping it is the single cheapest thing that extends post life, and it matters as much as what is protecting the buried end.
For situations where an ordinary fastening would corrode and run a stain down the face of the post. The stainless nail avoids that, which matters on visible fencing and balustrades.
