Edge protection is the part of a scaffold that does nothing until it is needed and then has to work first time. KEAA International manufactures 13 guard rail and railing post components in Ludhiana, India, hot dip galvanized to DIN EN 1461, covering guard rails for both tube and plank systems, railing posts in inserted and combination patterns, and the adjustable railing clamps that fix them, in tube, plank and heavy duty plank versions. The range covers tube and plank because sites use both, and a guard rail that does not match the platform system is a guard rail that gets left off. Galvanized tubes at 33.7 x 2.5 mm and crow bars for assembly are catalogued alongside.
What the range includes
Guard rails for planks, for planks with three hooks, for tubes in three block and double block patterns, and a special type. Guard rail blocks for tubes. Railing posts in inserted plank pattern and combination tube and plank pattern. Adjustable railing clamps for tubes, for planks, and a heavy duty plank version. Galvanized tubes at 33.7 x 2.5 mm and crow bars.
Standards and finish
Hot dip galvanized to DIN EN 1461, recorded against products in this range and applied in our own galvanizing plants. Welding is carried out by welders certified to EN 1090-2 and EN 3834-2, accredited by SLV Germany. Management systems are certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 by TÜV Rheinland.
Where it is used
Edge protection on scaffold platforms, formwork consoles and shoring towers, and anywhere a working platform has an open edge. Buyers are scaffolding contractors, formwork specialists, rental fleets and distributors.
Why buy it from the manufacturer
Edge protection has to fit the platform system it protects, and a clamp that almost fits is worse than none because it gives the appearance of protection. Making the rails, posts and clamps alongside the scaffold systems themselves is what keeps them compatible.
