Sheep handling equipment has to do two jobs that pull against each other: hold animals securely while they are worked, and let them move freely the rest of the time. KEAA International manufactures 15 items covering both, from interlocking and pin drop panels and sheep races through drafting and non return gates to the feeders, troughs and baskets that go into a pen. The hardware is hot dip galvanized, because sheep equipment spends much of its life outdoors and is frequently moved between sites, which is exactly the duty cycle that finds a weak coating. The panels are designed to interlock so a race or a pen can be reconfigured on site rather than built to one fixed layout, which matters when the same equipment has to serve lambing, shearing and drafting through the year.
What the range includes
Handling covers sheep races, drafting gates, non return gates, sheep headlocks, and panels in both interlocking and pin drop patterns with joiners. Feeding covers ground troughs, round feeders, hang on feeders, hang on troughs, hang on baskets, double side hay baskets and bucket holders.
Standards and finish
Hot dip galvanized, as recorded against the items in the catalogue, and applied in our own plants. Welding across KEAA is carried out by welders certified to EN 1090-2 and EN 3834-2, accredited by SLV Germany.
Where it is used
Sheep farms and mixed livestock units, contract shearing and drafting operations, and dealers supplying them. The panels and races are specified both for permanent pens and for mobile handling systems that are moved between fields.

Yes. The interlocking and pin drop panels connect with joiners rather than being fixed to one geometry, so a race, a holding pen or a drafting run can be built from the same set of panels and changed later.
It is hot dip galvanized, which is the finish specified for equipment that lives outdoors and gets moved between sites. Galvanizing protects cut edges and hollow section interiors, which is where outdoor corrosion normally starts.
