Pig housing hardware covers the pens and crates animals live in and the equipment used to work with them. KEAA International manufactures 13 items in this range from Ludhiana, India, including farrowing crates, gestation pens, feed bowls and the clamps that assemble them, alongside the consumables a unit uses day to day such as veterinary and hygiene gloves, jackets and manure scrapers. The steelwork is hot dip galvanized to the DIN ISO 1461 specification the product records cite, which matters more in a pig unit than almost anywhere else: the combination of ammonia, moisture and continuous physical contact with animals attacks coatings quickly, and a crate with corroded welds is a welfare problem before it is a maintenance one.
What the range includes
Housing covers farrowing crates, gestation pens and feed bowls. Assembly hardware covers adjustable clamps, hinge clamps and foot clamps, plus stainless steel casting hooks. Working equipment covers manure scrapers, aprons, calf and lamb jackets, and veterinary and hygiene gloves.
Standards and finish
The steelwork is hot dip galvanized to DIN ISO 1461 as recorded in the product data, applied in our own galvanizing plants. Casting hooks are stainless steel. Welding is carried out by welders certified to EN 1090-2 and EN 3834-2, accredited by SLV Germany.
Where it is used
Farrowing and gestation houses on commercial pig units, and the handling and hygiene routines around them. Buyers are livestock housing installers, agricultural building contractors and farm supply distributors.

Hot dip galvanizing to DIN ISO 1461, as recorded against the products. It is applied in our own plants, and it coats the inside of hollow sections as well as the outside, which is where corrosion starts in a pig house atmosphere.
