A tripod holds a prop upright and stable while it is being positioned and before the formwork above it is complete. Without one, a free standing prop has to be held by hand, which is slow and is the point at which most slab formwork accidents happen. KEAA International manufactures seven tripod patterns in Ludhiana, India, hot dip galvanized to DIN EN 1461, covering fixed type, universal model, and light, medium and heavy duty versions, including a square tube medium duty pattern and light duty tripods for 25 mm and 27 mm props. The range is deliberately graded by duty, because a tripod that is heavier than the job needs is simply extra weight to carry up a building.
What the range includes
Fixed type tripods and a universal model. Heavy duty and medium duty tripods, including a square tube medium duty pattern. Light duty tripods sized for 25 mm and 27 mm props.
Standards and finish
Hot dip galvanized to DIN EN 1461, recorded against products in this range and applied in our own galvanizing plants. Welding is carried out by welders certified to EN 1090-2 and EN 3834-2, accredited by SLV Germany.
Where it is used
Slab formwork erection on concrete frames, wherever props are stood before the beams and decking tie them together. Buyers are formwork specialists, concrete frame contractors, rental fleets and distributors.

It depends on the prop diameter and the duty. Light duty tripods are catalogued for 25 mm and 27 mm props, with medium and heavy duty versions above them. Send the prop size and we will quote the matching tripod.
